Jamaic aWeekly understands that incarcerated dancehall deejay Vybz Kartel needs surgery urgently as his health is rapidly declining behind bars.
Vybz Kartel‘s son Likkle Vybz in a recent interview with Fox NY has revealed that his Father Vybz Kartel need surgery and his life is at high risk.
“It’s not looking great, and the condition, I can definitely say it’s getting worse,” Likkle Vybz told the media outlet.
“The best thing we can do is just pray and be strong.” he continued.
Vybz Kartel along with his co-accused has been behind bars for over 10 years, embattled with the Jamaican justice system, trying to fight for his freedom. In recent times his attorney brought the matter before the UK Privi Council, which they analyzed and found that the case was tainted and that the matter be quashed or he be given a fair trial. Since then the local Court has yet to come to a decision.
Early June Krtel was brought before the court seeking bail and was denied, now his family is very concerned about his health, as his Physician is pointing to a possible heart condition that may lead to death.
“It does indicate that Mr. Palmer is developing heart failure which may lead to a heart attack,” Dr. Phillips wrote. She added that the results being less than 40% “might be evidence of a patient getting closer to the possible risk of a heart failure or cardiomyopathy.” Dr. Phillips, a Consultant Physician and Endocrinologist, is the President of the Association of Consultant Physicians of Jamaica and has been Vybz Kartel’s private physician for eight years. In a sworn court medical affidavit, she says the incarcerated dancehall star’s health conditions have not shown improvement and could be fatal if he does not get surgery as soon as possible.
