Vybz Kartel has been the main topic of many tabloids since his recent release from Prison. Now that he is a free man he faces many critics from all angles.
Many have been praising Vybs Kartel since his release from Prison, while others find the time to judge his lifestyle. Fresh out of prison and battling with heath condition, the ‘Dancehall hero’ is faced with backlash from many fans and one person in particular who issued a statement via their social media platform.
The backlash stems from the act that after being behind bars fro almost 13 years the ‘Party With me Deejay is now with a white woman, his fiance Sidem Öztürk, which he considers his wife.
Jamaica Weekly understands that Sidem has been loyal to him while he was behind bars and she has also been assisting him with many thing out of the public’s sight hence he is sticking with her.
Dr.Umar Ifatunde, a Psychology doctor as stated on his official IG profile made a post which bashed Vybz for his decision to marry a “White Girl” as he puts it.
The comments section had mixed reviews on the matter as some was in support of Vybz Kartel and a few other were against his decision.

While another commented;
“Black woman all the wayyyyy. This lady though she help him get a good group of lawyers and released him after 13years!“
Vyb Kartel has been a man of controversy, hence the backlash from his personal decision should not phase him that much if any at all, that is his personal life and we must respect it.
Fans have also been bashing the deejay stating that he should be with Shorty instead, seeing that she raised his children while he was away, however in a recent interview, Lisa Hyper his former signed artist bashes Shorty for doing im wrong while he was away.
