In a video circulating the internet, the Jamaican police tries arresting Popcaan who was on the scene of Bikers doing stunts in what appeared to be prohibited zone.
The video which has been spreading like wild fire across social media has made headlines in the island as mixed views surfaced. It is alleged that the St Thomas Native deejay was engaged in a stunt-riding demonstration to please gathered crowds on Constant Spring Road in St. Andrew. This got him into hot water with the cops, who had asked him to stop.
In the video, Popcaan, wearing yellow and riding a three-wheeled bike, intervened when a police officer attempted to discipline another biker. The officer then confronts Popcaan, leading to a scuffle between the to, however member of Popcaan team intervened to try and separate them. The other bikers flee, leaving Popcaan among a noisy crowd of supporters and police officers in the chaotic scene.

“Popcaan was heading home and saw the crowd at the Up to the line After Champs party and decided to stop and do stunts in the road to excite the crowd. He was warned to desist, and he refused and the cops held on to the bike because he has committed an offence,” a police officer on the scene revealed.
The officer went further to say, Popcaan might be charged with several offenses after the incident. “Popcaan will be charged by summons,” they said.
Popcaan, has has been at it with Jamaican police for some time now. In January 2024, during a court appearance, he declined an opportunity to apologize to the police for his behavior at Unruly Fest when lawmen summarily ended the St. Thomas event in December. The entertainer was fined $6,000 after pleading guilty to several charges, including disorderly conduct and using abusive and calumnious language. He was also fined $40,000 for breaching the Noise Abatement Act.
We hope the beef he has with The Jamaican Police can come to an end or is dealt with in a healthy fashion and nothing harmful happens to the deejay physically nor career wise.
