Shenseea X Masicka‘s collaborated track “Hit & Run,” spends a fifth week at No. 1 on Jamaica’s weekly YouTube chart.
The Stephen McGregor produced track which was released under Rich Immigrants/Interscope Records raked in over 418,000 views for the week ending February 29. The music video, has now surpassed 17 million views on YouTube since it’s release.
In the intense and emotional track, hit maker Shenseea reveals that she’s only dating casually an not in anything serious, while Masicka responds calling her heartless for their brief entanglement. “Hit & Run” was the second single released in 2024 to hot No. 1 on the Reggae iTunes music video chart.
Shenseea made international news recently when she reiterated her belief that Bob Marley’s global influence surpasses that of Michael Jackson at the premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in Los Angeles. Despite being a fan of both legends, Shenseea informed People Magazine that she stands by her opinion, influenced by her extensive travels and observations of Marley’s impact across the globe.
“From somebody who came from my country, I go everywhere and I see people wearing dreads. They’re smoking a big spliff. They have the Rasta colors. They’re trying to emulate who Bob used to be and what he represented,” the Grammy nominated singer said.
