Shenseea & Tarrus Riley’s Lighter music video has reach the 100 million views mark on Youtube since its debut 3 years ago.
Lighter has recently passed the 100 million views on YouTube, making the ‘Loodie’ hit maker’s first ever song to reach that number of views on the platform.
Feeling elated, the Dancehall princess took to her official TikTok to celebrate the moment.
Tarrus Riley has made it to a 100 million before, with his hit single titled ‘She’s Royal’ which managed to rake in over 112 million views along with Powerful which has raked in over 144 million views.
Lighter was produced by Jamaican born producer Rvssian and made its debut back in September 2020 on Riley’s album titled ‘Healing.’
“I did not know Lighter was gonna hit,” she said. “I was like, ‘I really like the song, I think it’s dope,’ but to hit like it did? I did not see that coming.” Shenseea revealed in a live video following its release.

Shenseea has been busy in the studio working on new music as well as Tarrus, both artists are geared up to release more good music throughout this year.
In a recent interview Shenseea spoke on allegations that she had abandoned her culture and was focusing too much on main stream that she forgot her roots, the dancehall princess expressed it was far from the truth ash she still revisits her culture at times, however she had been busy working on getting a hit mainstream for sometime now.
Since the interview Shenseea has been visiting Jamaica more frequently.
