International Reggae music superstar Jah Cure is still behind bars in the Netherlands serving a sentence for attempted manslaughter.
Jamaica Weekly understands that the ‘Unconditional Love‘ hit maker was scheduled to return to court today November 12th for another hearing in-front of an investigative judge. It has been made mandatory for the singer to attend a series of pro forma hearings as his prosecutors has been advocating for his acquittal for the attempted manslaughter charge laid against him.
According to Dancehall Mag, sources,
“The matter is still in the hands of the investigative Judge”
Jah Cure, real name, Siccature Alcock, was convicted of attempted murder back in March 2022 and sentenced to serve six years in prison inflicted stab wounds on a Dutch promoter for unpaid performance fees back in October 2021.
Even though the judges had ruled that Cure’s actions were not a premeditated and he was acquitted of much serious charges. However, following the sentence, Dutch prosecutors appealed against the acquittal of the attempted murder charge. The singer has been behind bars since then.
