Dancehall veterans, Beenie Man and Bounty Killer were presented with citations, to commemorate their significant contributions to Dancehall music culture.
Bounty Killer and Beenie Man, two icons in the Dancehall music industry, were among 150 individuals honored this year at the annual Grand Gala event held at the National stadium.
The two delivered a stunning performance and had the audience singing along to some of their classics.
An elated Bounty killer took to his IG to share his apreciation for the award.
“First, I want to thank almighty God for life and this immense amount of talent. Thanks to Mama and Papa, who I wish could see this day. Congratulations to me and my co-worker Beenie Man. Salute yute, it’s been a journey and still a mighty long way to go. Thanks to all my true die-hard fans and supporters worldwide,” he wrote.

another stated “Generals Over due” hinting at the recognition being long over due for the two.
The had over was made by Prime Minister, Andrew Holness who had this to say,
“These two gentlemen have created a genre. We acknowledge your work and contribution to Jamaica.”
