Jamaica is currently one of the go to destinations for foreigners looking to go on a vacation/getaway. The island is filled with great tourist attractions to enjoy while in the island.

1. The Blue Mountains

Blue Mountains, is one of Jamaica’s must see attractions while on vacation in the island. The drive from Kingston is about an hour and along the way you will have lots of sight seeing.

The view off the Mountains are just breathtaking, at a glace from a distance the mountains actually have a bluish  appearance which compliments a clear sky.

When you arrive at the gates of the Hollywell Park, the ambiance is what hits you first, a cool misty wave of fresh air mixed with mother nature enters your nostrils, followed by a feeling of relaxation and curiosity as to what will come next.

The park is an open area with lots of space for camping, relaxing while having a picnic or even sports and games with the family.

Blue Mountain is also a known spot for hikers, the mountains provide a trail for both hikers and bikers. The trails also leads to hidden cabins and waterfalls you love to take a splash in and just soak up the ambiance.

2. YS Falls, St Elizabeth

YS Falls, located in St Elizabeth, is hand down one of the best tourist water attractions Jamaica has to offer. The ambiance is to die for and the waterfall is a must see for yourselves. The destination also has a pool area like no other, surrounded by a park filled with luscious green grass, plants and palm trees to have you feeling relaxed and in paradise.

If you are looking for a family getaway or even a honeymoon destination then YS Falls is just right, The experience will have you wanting to visit again. The private Waterfalls is quite the experience, you can’t visit an not take a splash, it is a must. They also offer treetop zip-lining for those who wants a bird eyes view of the area.

3. The Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is located in Portland, Jamaica and it is one of the most visited attractions in that part of the island. Its natural beauty is very captivating and outstanding. The water portrays many different colors, depending on the time of day you visit, you may experience a pale green, terquoise or dark blue.

One of the main things that makes this Tourist attraction a rare on is the mixture of fresh and salt water that goes together very well, hot water from the caribbean sea and the fresh cold water running from the springs.

While there you may be asked to take a ride on a raft through the Rio Grande or even a boat across the sea to visit the famous monkey island close by.
